Impressions are the sum of the reach of a group of mentions. We use impressions as a metric in our reports because reports analyze a group of mentions (the entire query), instead of individual mentions.

Impressions are based on reach. Reach is an estimated number of people who saw a single mention.


  • one person can have more than one impression for a single post

  • impressions don't show whether the people who saw the post engaged with it or not.
